Hyderabad, Oct 28 (UNI) Kenya edged out Ghana 2-1 while Kazakhstan beat Nigeria 2-0 at the Afro-Asian Games women's hockey competition here today.

The winners will meet on October 30 for the fifth and sixth places.

Kenya, which finished third in Pool A with a win and two defeats in three matches, outplayed Ghana 2-1 to earn a shot for the fifth place.

Priscl Nafula Wanyama put Kenya ahead in the 19th minute and Hellen Chemti Kiprotich made it 2-0 in the 42nd minute. Abbas Ramtu reduced the margin six minutes before the close.

Kenya has remained winless after four matches.

For the Kazahs, prolific Imangaliyeva Gulnar struck four minutes before the break while Mikhramova Ologa netted the second three minutes into the second-half.
