Hyderabad, Oct 28 (UNI) South Africa blanked China 4-0 to enter the finals of the women's Hockey competition at the first Afro-Asian Games here today.

The Africans, who entered the knockout stage with three wins out of three, looked even more determined as they went about methodically keeping their agile rivals at bay, after taking an early lead.

Coetzee Pietie has been pretty consistent right through this tournament, so far, and this time around too she was there to put her side ahead three minutes into the game.

Later, she settled down to set up a brace for Webber Susan Mary in the 43rd and 53rd minute, while Bee Kerry added one in between in the 44th minute.

Earlier, Kenya edged out Ghana 2-1 while Kazakhstan beat Nigeria 2-0.
