England's women continued their winning run in the European Nations Cup this evening when they dominated the Ukraine.
A commanding performance by a confident and dominant England team saw them go into the half time interval 3- 0 ahead of their European counterparts.
Goals from Rachel Walker in open play and penalty corners from Kate Walsh and Leisa King kicked off their campaign the first half. In the second half a penalty stroke by Leisa King added to the tally followed by an open play goal by Anna Bennett paving the way for an England victory.
Despite the win, coach Tricia Heberle still expects more from her players and was not overly happy with the performance.
"I was less than satisfied with the performance and although we had a lot of possession and control we lacked urgency and I felt at times we were just going through the motions," she said.
We will need to lift against Wales who I expect to come out strongly in what will be a critical home nations encounter."
