Ireland got the points they wanted to finish runners up in their Pool They will now play Italy winners of Pool B in the semi final on Saturday with the prize for the winners promotion to Division A of the Junior Nations Cup in 2004 . Ireland were again quick out of the blocks when Jessica Lynch scored from a short corner after only 3 minutes. The Czechs response was immediate and they went into to a 2-1 lead with two goals in the space of 10 minutes. Ireland equaliser came from another short corner this time through Susie Martin. Ireland contined to force the pace and hit the cross bar in the 30th minute With the score level at half time Ireland failed to score from a penalty stroke awarded in the 40th minute but found the target again from a short corner this time courtesy of Jan McGowan. The final score was Ireland 3 Czech Republic 2.
