MUNSTER'S Kirsten Farrell's participation in the European Under 21 championships in Prague next week is likley to be limited due to an injury sustained in a training camp at the weekend.
The Ireland striker has a suspected stress fracture in her foot and had to withdraw from the weekend session staged in Dublin.
It's yet another blow for Ireland who have seen their squad decimated by senior call-ups.
Ballymoney star Bridgid McKeever has already pulled out to throw her lot in with Riet Kuper's senior squad, as has senior international striker Nikki Symmons.
But Farrell will definitely travel as part of the 17-strong squad and will receive intensive treatment for the knock before the girls travel to the Czech Republic on Friday.
Ireland will be bidding for a top-two finish in Prague which would guarantee them top-flight status next year.
They begin their campaign on Monday against Russia, whom they beat 3-0 in last year's competition which had to be abandoned due to floods, before taking on Switzerland and their Czech hosts in subsequent games in the first phase of the tournament.
