In a mixed weekend for Scotland, pride of place went to Bonagrass Grove striker Linda Clement, who clebrated her 50th cap with two goals in Scotland's 5-1 thrashing of Chile in the four nations tournament in Vancouver.

The Scots opened brightly, with Ali Rowatt being allowed to stroll unopposed into the Chilean circle and score from close in. Despite losing an equaliser to Daniela Infante, who was gifted the ball in a dangerous situation, Clement stepped up to put the Scots ahead again with a clever deflection from an inch-perfect Ailsa Young cross.

The Scots dominated the second period but without goals until Western's Sam Judge fired the ball home from a rebound off the goalkeeper. Clement immediately claimed her second and captain Rhona Simpson finished the scoring with a deft reverse-stick lob.

Coach Mike Gilbert was quietly satisfied with the performance: "We got the basics right today. We scored goals and also defended well after gifting Chile a goal in the opening minutes."

In Lille, Scotland's men completed a miserable weekend by going down 2-0 to Switzerland. The Scots dominated the flow of the match but Alistair McDougall, Barry Kane and James Burns were the main sinners in a catalogue of missed chances.

ok ok but only one of those gb stars (and there are only 4 there) plays forward!

So instead of calling me numbskull perhaps you should firstly learn to count and secondly work out who plays where!
