Uganda v Kenya
Lugogo 4.30pm

UGANDA and Kenya lock horns in two potentially explosive hockey encounters that will leave the winner holding the regional bragging rights.

The international friendly matches take place today and tomorrow at Lugogo hockey ground.

Uganda will be hoping to upset the more accomplished Kenyans as they prepare for the All-Africa Games slated for October in Abuja.

Uganda assistant coach Jaz Karim expressed confidence that the national team has made huge enough strides to be of considerable threat to the regional dominance of the Kenyans.

“The team has prepared tactically and mentally for the Abuja Games and the Kenyans are aware that we will be no pushovers. The two matches will help us assess how far we’ve come and how far we’ve to go.”
