28th May 2003.

In preparation for the European Nations Cup in Barcelona (1 - 13 Sept) the Irish Senior men play England this weekend in the Torquil Clark Test Match Series at Cannock Hockey Club, near Birmingham. This series will be followed by a return three match series in Ireland (14-16 June) before the side heads off to Vienna to play in a 4 Nations (26-28 June) together with European Cup Qualifiers Russia and Switzerland and the hosts Austria.

Both John Jermyn and David Hobbs are unavailable due to exams whilst Wesley Bateman has been given extra time to recover from his recent injury. This will allow the uncapped GK Charlie Henderson to join the squad together with Ivan Steen of Surbiton who has been recalled.
