I have seen the game between the USA and Cuba and can tell you worryers out there that the US men's side showed great class in that game and should have restored your confidence in it.

You'll be ready for Canada 2004...

What about Pan Am Games 2003?

The PanAm Games will be tough, with the current top three expected to be present in full force. I think the number of teams advancing from the Panam Games to the Olympic Games is too small, for a continent like the Americas, but little we can do about that now.

The US has a good team, both individually and collectively, but their game is too transparent. That's the most important thing for them to work on now.

We've seen in this last tournament that anything can happen, but I honestly don't expect any major upsets where Canada, Argentina, Cuba and even Chile are concerned.

To finish in the top three in the Cup in 2004 is a more realistic goal for the US.

re: "Wolfman"
Although I agree with your 2003 comment I am the original and only Wolfman. Could you please refrain from using my tag because that'd be great.

On another note 13 you are dead wrong. The US national team will not be ready for Canada in 2003 or 2004. Club teams from Vancouver beat them and all the other one's gave them a tough tough time. They needed a last second goal to be a University team.

Shows you what I know...

But I said they would be ready for the tourney in Canada in 2004, not to beat Canada.
I've played against a clubteam from Canada last year(with 5 Canadian team members) and got steamrolled, so I know what they're capable of.

I just hope the USA does well so that they won't disappear from the international circuit because of lack of interest, due to disappointing results. That would be a shame.

get it right
Wolfman, or whoever you are, try and get your facts right. I've been using this tag on this site for months. You need only look at the CAC Games thread and a couple others that relate to hockey in that region. If you use the same tag then fine, but don't pretend as if you are the original anything.
