ZAGREB; Very short indoor edition of Croatian men's hockey ended last Sunday with a dramatic, although not so beautiful, final in which defending champions Marathon-Senso faced Jedinstvo. Jedinstvo were first to score, but Marathon-Senso quickly levelled. The game continued in even play till half-time which finished 2:2. After the break Marathon boys dominated first five minutes and were able to convert two penalty corners to make it 4:2 lead. However as the time passed on, Jedinstvo took it over and pulled one back. Up to last minute Marathon-Senso defended that one goal advantage, but then Jedinstvo put on 6th player. Total risk paid off in the last 15 seconds when the ball was tipped into the Marathon's goal. Therefore the tension moved to ever-unpredictable strokes. Marathon-Senso had more reliable players this time, and already after the fourth series they won the competition 4:2, in total 8:6.
Marathon-Senso team: Stimac (GK), Kadic (capt.), Vuckovic, Bujan, Bauk, Bonacic, D.Hrupec, T. Jamicic, Pavlovic and Horvatin. Team Manager: Tralic
Results, Semifinal:

Mladost - Jedinstvo 3:4
FINAL:
Marathon-Senso - Jedinstvo 8:6 aps (4:4)
In the play-out match Tresnjevka beat Atom 3:2 and secured the first division status next year.
