It was a very satisfied danish delgation that returned to Copenhagen airport from Zagreb this monday. The promotion to the A-division in 2005 was secured after a solid perfomance. In the first match Hungary was beaten 7-3 and the road to the semifinal was open. But a very motivated scottish side almost destroyed that dream and defeated the danish team by 5-2. The last pool-match against the home team Croatia was to decide which two teams would make it to the semifinals. Here, there was no doubt that Denmark was a better team and they beat Croatia by 7-2. This meant that Denmark was facing Portugal in the vital cross-over game for promotion to the A-division. In a very exiting game Denmark won 6-5. The final was cosmetic but it was obvious that both Austria and Denmark wanted the victory. In a very tactic game the ordinary time ended 2-2 and the winner had to be decided through "golden goal". Here, Casper Guldbrandsen from Orient Lyngby knew what it took and netted to 3-2 after 3 minuttes of the golden time. The young team from Denmark are already looking forward to join the A-division and will soon start the preparartions. It was a very well-organized tournamnet in Zagreb and the Croatia Hockey Federation has every reason to be proud.

The gold medals in Zagreb make no time for vacation. In this week the australian team are visiting Denmark and have allready played two matches against local teams:
Australia - Team Vestsjaelland 10-6
Australia - Slagelse HK 10-8

Friday Australia will face Team Copenhagen and saturday the will participate in a 3-nations tournament against danish champions Orient Lyngby and sweedish champs from Valhalla.
