The teams played round-robin (20-minute games) and there was no ranking. Sticks were presented to every youth that participated in the event as a prize. The games showed good skill level and they were rather exciting.

The World Youth Hockey Day was a success in Mexico plus it gave "rebirth" to the Youth League in Mexico City and the metropolitan area which had stopped almost a year ago. The Youth Leage is planned to start next Saturday (November 2nd, 2002) with an approximate of 15 youth teams in two categories. The league will be used as a selective tournament for the Mexico City teams participating in the 2003 National Youth Olympiad.

Special thanks to Juan Olvera for the organization and running of the youth day, all the coaches and umpires that made this event a success, and to the Mexico City Hockey Association for its support in the organization of the event.

It’s wonderful this World Youth Hockey Day in México, but…
Corrected text, forget the last one I sended.

AHDF, before I never listened about several teams. I imagine they are new.
Really, I just know two of them. DELFINES youth team, managed by Jaime Chávez, National couch team, and IZTAC youth team as well named PAV, headed by Juan Olvera. Good for their youth teams, but What about another well knowed youth team, AZTLAN, couched by ARSENIO AND MALENA LÓPEZ?
AHDF, if you are thinking to promote hockey and prizing children who are practicing hokey, you forgot to include the AZTLÁN youth team. AZTLÁN youth team has played in several AHDF tournaments as well the DELFINES and PAV-IZTAC teams. Why has AHDF, one more time, LEFT AZTLÁN YOUTH TEAM OUT from these gifts –sticks-, that this youth team justly deserves? These children are important too. They must be estimulated too.
AHDF, I don’t know what kind of internal organization problems do you have, but, the AZTLAN youth team is not guilty for them. Newly, AZTLAN YOUTH TEAM IS AND HAS BEEN EXCLUDED TO PARTICIPATE IN EVENTS LIKE THE ¨OLIMPIADA INFANTIL Y JUVENIL¨ -YOUTH SPORT NATIONAL TOURNAMENT- IN SPITE THESE CHILDREN HAVE BEEN TRAINING AND PLAYING HARDLY AND CONSTANTLY. In fact, in the past tournament THEY GOT FIRST PLACE. MOST OF THE AZTLÁN YOUNG PLAYERS, DESERVE STICKS.
AHDF, YOU ARE NOT FAIR.
Ps: Sorry for the last meessage that I sended, I didn´t check it.
Anyway, I had tried to post it here and I couldn´t, until now.
Athletic kids.

In fact, most of these kids and other young players -from Aztlán and others teams- are trainning every day more time than National team hockey. Hey kids, well done!

Re: I disagree...

Atte.
