UHK SVOBODA became national men?s champions for the second time. MORAVSKE TOPLICE got their first women?s title.

MEN?S CHAMPIONSHIP
After thrilling regular season, when Svoboda from Ljubljana managed to secure first place with 27 points and eight times straight champion?s Lek Lipovci ended second with 24 points, we got two teams which decided the Champion in best of three series. In first game Lek dominated the whole game and won 0 : 3 (0:2), one of the reasons was injury of the best Svoboda player Kopic who was lost for the whole playoff. One week later Svoboda modified their game to more defensive approach with very tough defence and focused on counter attacks. New style brought success and Svoboda won 0 : 2 (0:0). It was clear that the last game would decide the Champion. Both teams started very carefully in defence and the halftime ended without goals. In the second half Lek became very dangerous from few PC, but Svoboda?s goalkeeper Nemec was brilliant. After very quickly taken free hit from just outside the D, Lek managed to got on the scoreboard with Stanko?s goal. After just two minutes Luka Bratec equalised after he dribbled through three defenceman and hit the long corner of Hozjan?s goal. After goalless overtime the Champion was decided from the penalty spot. Bratec, Kaluza, Kuzma and Zrim scored for Svoboda, while Nemec saved two shots form Lek and Svoboda won 5 : 3 and became Champions for the second time (first was in 1992).
In the third place match Triglav Predanovci beat Murska Sobota 2 : 1 (3:5, 5:1, 2:0).

In women?s final all three games were very tight and decided with penalty shots. MORAVSKE TOPLICE won 2 : 1 (2:1, 1:2, 3:1) and after five successive titles beat Triglav Predanovci.

In Junior Championship Lek won 2 : 0 in victories over Moravske Toplice (6 : 4 on PS and 2 : 0) and Triglav Predanovci got third place over Murska Sobota (4 : 1, 1 : 0).

In Cup Final Lek has beaten Svoboda 6 : 2, and Triglav Predanovci in women?s final beat Moravske Toplice 2 : 1 on PS.
