KARACHI: Pakistan Hockey Federation has reconstituted the umpiring committee which will start functioning with immediate effect. PHF secretary Brig. Musaratullah Khan is the chairman of the committee while Saeed Ahmed, Iqbal Bali, Faiz Muhammad Faizi and Shaikh abdul Majeed are the members.

The committee will be responsible for all umpiring related matters in Pakistan such as:

a. Scouting young talent for grooming

b. Hold proper examinations for graduation of National 'A', National 'B' Grade umpires.

c. Prepare a list of all the umpires in Pakistan with proper categorization for all the four provinces and the affiliated departments.

d. Make recommendations for further improving the scheme of umpires' clinics with its optimum utilization.

The committee members have been asked to send proposals/working paper on its functioning for the consideration of PHF, whereafter, the plan of action would be chalked out in a proper committee meeting on a date to be notified later.
