Poland: Pocztowiec and Pomorzanin made it to the indoor final

Pocztowiec Poznan and Pomorzanin Torun will face each other in the final of the Polish Indoor League. Poznan team, clear favourites, profited from the withdrawal of their everlasting local opponents Grunwald and won 55 points out of 60, loosing and drawing only once in 20 matches. The Torunians however, who have many difficulties outdoor showed again indoor hockey was still on the top.
Other Poznan teams - Lech and students' AZS - will compete for the third place. The fifth participant Start Gniezno had a chance as well but they lost 3-6 to Pomorzanin. There was a 3-3 draw just 90 seconds before the final whistle, when Start who was interested only in winning the game withdrew their keeper letting Pomorzanin score three times to the empty goal.
The third place games will take place in Poznan and Dopiewo on Feb. 9/10, and the finals a week later in Torun and Szamotuly.
The national team players who prepare for the World Cup in Malaysia did not play this season. In this circumstances other players had their chance. Two of them - Dariusz Rachwalski (Pocztowiec) and Radoslaw Klockowski (Pomorzanin) open the scorer's list with good results of respectively 46 and 45 goals.
