Planet Field Hockey

LAHORE: The 21st National Women Hockey Championship has been allocated to Balochistan and will be staged at Quetta in September next year. This was decided by the Pakistan Hockey Federation (PHF) Women Wing Council which met under the chairmanship of Federation President, Lt Gen Muhammad Aziz Khan at the national hockey stadium on Thursday. The Women Wing Chairperson and Federal Law Minister Barrister Shahida Jamil presided over the second session.

Briefing the newsmen she announced a list of tournaments approved by the Council and said the number of events will help to generate more activities and improve standard of women hockey.

Following events were approved:

All Pakistan Fatima Jinnah Tournament at Lahore College of Women, November 2001.

All Pakistan Quaid-e-Azam Cup at Karachi December 25 to Jan 2, 2002.

President PHF Women Challenge Trophy at Faisalabad, February 2002.

All Pakistan Fatima Jinnah Cup at Karachi, August 2002.

21st Women National Championship at Quetta, September 2002.
