Scotland and England crashed out of the European Nations Championship quarter-finals in Leipzig.
The Scots went out 2-1 to Belgium as England lost 1-0 to Germany, and the sides will meet France and Poland respectively in the play-offs.

A top-six finish would ensure a slot in next year's World Cup qualifying event in Rome in April and May.

Germany, the European and world champions, play Spain, while Holland face Belgium in Saturday's semi-finals.

Scotland fell behind to Amaury de Cock's 20th-minute strike. Jean-Philippe Brule made it 2-0 with a penalty corner.

Niall Stott pulled one back but an equaliser evaded the Scots.

England went down to a late winner two minutes from time against Germany.

Germany's Mattias Witthaus robbed Loughborough Students' Glenn Kirkham on the edge of his circle and chipped Surbiton goalkeeper Jon Ebsworth.

England went closest with seven minutes left when Cannock's Barry Middleton shot wide of an open goal with Rob Moore unable to get a touch at the far post.
