Its all going awfully wrong. In Cannock and Reading we have 2 clubs who can compete at the highest level in European Competitions. Jason Lees choice of players is probably that of most people.
So whats the secret at Cannock and Reading? what do John Copp, Pat Land and the brothers Mayer posess and can they give it to Mr Lee.
Or should Mr Lee do the honourable thing and resign and leave it to someone who knows what they are doing.

with due respect,
1. club hockey is vastly different to international hockey
2. clubs have non-england eligible players playing for them
3. Coppy had his chance at international level and got involved in petty back-stabbing of Dancer - whoops looks foolish now
4. Leeboy has inherited the end product of a decade of mediocrityorganisationally and on the paddock
5. England Hockey and players need to learn some humility before they can move forward
6. Appointing DF was a big mistake - what will he offer Leeboy in his hour of need?

Seems like anyone who voices their own opinion on how things should be done has to move overseas !! English hockey has lost alot of experience and passion.

Youīre right Lee shopuld go along with some players. This is completely embarrassing and it is the worst England team I can remember. I would imagine that if we had just sent Cannock or Reading we would have done better. We certainly couldnīt do any worse. What about players like Todd, Humphrey, Ramsden, Kochar, Jones, Watts. Some of these have been tried and apparently failed however they failed coming 5th or 6th in the world rather than 9th - 12th and probably worse today. They have also won tournamnets in Europe. The money is all but gone and I think that is good. Letīs get back to people wanting to play for their country and fight rather than soft minded players wanting an easy life.
First thing is first though Lee has to go. We canīt take another humiliation.

Englands performances
Guys lets cut out all the negatives being posted on this site. So the team has under performed versus our expectations. JASON LEE is in my opinion and many of the other top coaches the right man for the job.
The only issue I have was the underhanded way our non qualified performance director was appointed, but nothing surprises me anymore about the management team purporting to run our game.
Jason lee, sincerely believe will make sweeping changes after this tournament to his squad and start to introduce new blood, and if not you can then hang him out to dry if the results don't improve. But please in the interim, please give him the chance he deserves, as he basically inherited what he has, and it does take time. I expect him to off load a minimum of 6 players and introduce new names, some of which have been mentioned on this site as likely canidates.
Good luck to England today against Germany as winning this one would be an accumplishment bearing in mind the playing personell he has to pick from at the tournament.

I agree with your point 3 that Coppy is a political animal and "top Cat" could do as well with the players he has available. I have never trusted the guy, but maybe these are the credentials the baboons who control our sport admire in people as they perminately back stab one another and others that don't agree with their points of view.
I also agree with your point 6 that the appointment of Faulkner was a big mistake with actions being taken immediately to rectify the embarrassment.

Club hockey vastly different to international? Think you will find most of the top nations are represented by mainly by their top three clubs, but with different coach
Cannock and Reading have one non english player each namely Moodie and Towns
Agree on the humility level though if one or two players performance on the pitch matched their arrogance off it we might be doing better.
With regard Jenno/Coppy the former received no recognition for his contribution to the Womens Squad look how they started to decline once he left, as for Coppy his record speaks for itself no other english coach can boast a record like his.

Hate it or love it the underdog's on top
Scottish hockey has come on leaps and bounds but even though i am scottish and am (very) biased this was a surprising outcome.

Have any of you making negative comments actually had any contact with DF? Many of the players who have will tell you differently about the positive impact he has had.

Great Britian Hockey
PROBLEM with the current GB organisation is that an Enlishman called Richard Leman "yes another self appointed 1988 club member" is Chairman. This guy does nothing for nothing and his agenda will be to appoint all his mates into position they are not qualified for, just like the endorsement of David Faulkner as performance director prior to him taking up his post as chairman of GB hockey.
I would love to know what the total cost of carrying all these "1988 self appointed club members" in salaries and expenses are to both english @ GB hockey associations.
The lot couldn't organise "a-shag-in-a-brothel"

Englands Performance
Poland 0 England 3
Why-O-Why din't they play like this from the begining of the tournament. Maybe Jason Lee has now learnt that you win games from attacking play and not concerntrating all your efforts on defending. This said he still needs to replace 6 or 7 of the current squad because they are just not upto playing at international level.
We still have to wait to see how they perform aagainst France in their last game, and we pray they approach the game in an attacking manner the same way they did today.
My money is on the England team reverting back to a defensive mode against France for 5th & 6th place play-off game, which could be counteractive and have implications such as him losing his position as coach.
If they beat France in their last game, it will prove there is such a thing "as a get out of jail card".
Good luck England, but honestly you don't deserve it the way you have performed during this tournament.

You must be joking about Richard Leman heading up Great Britian Hockey. What succsess has he had as a business man to have warranted this position.
