Australia piled on three goals in the final 17 minutes to beat hosts the Netherlands 4-1 in the final pool game of the Rabo Trophy men's hockey tournament in Amsterdam.

Luke Doerner broke a 1-1 deadlock in the 53rd minute, before Grant Schubert scored his second in the 64th and Travis Brooks completed the rout in the final minute of the re-match between last year's Olympic finalists.

The Kookaburras play Pakistan in the final of the eight-nation tournament on Sunday after winning all three games to top pool B.

The victory also avenged Australia's 3-1 defeat to the Netherlands in Germany last week, a result which effectively gave the Dutch victory in the Hamburg Masters four-nation tournament.

Australia, the Athens 2004 Olympic champions, can claim their second international title of the year with victory on Sunday after winning the Sultan Azlan Shah Cup in Malaysia in June.

Pakistan downed Germany 5-0 to edge passed Spain on goal difference and book a final berth as the top team from pool A.

Striker Schubert's two goals moves him further ahead on top of the tournament's goal-scorers list, his 5th and 64th minute strikes given him five goals for the week.

Doerner and Brooks have now both scored two, joining three other players, including fellow Aussie Mark McCann, as tied second on the list.

Sunday's match will also be the Kookaburras' final game of their three-week European tour as they prepare for the Champions Trophy in India in December.
