Pakistan: PHF announces Indian players for hockey league

The Pakistan Hockey Federation (PHF) on Thursday announced the names of six leading Indian hockey stars who have confirmed their participation in the inaugural Super Hockey League to be played at the Hockey Club of Pakistan Karachi from September 8 to 18.

According to a PHF spokesman, the players taking part in the Pakistan league are Dilip Tirkey, Viren Risquena, Gagan Ajit Singh, Arjun Halapa, Sandeep Singh and D?Souza. All the Indian players will be assigned to the six participating teams with one player in each. This will be the first occasion when overseas players are taking part in a domestic Pakistani competition.

`Comments I dont know if it is a god idea, Why not they call indian domestic teams to vist pakistan. It will really improve the domestic hockey of pakistan`

`AS THE PREMIRE HOCKEY LEAGUE (INDIA) AND SUPER HOCKEY LEAGUE(PAK) HAPPEN TO BE SCHEDULED AT DIFFERENT TIMES... INSHALLAH TAALA NEXT TIME ONWARDS, THEY SHOULD INVITE THE WINNERS OF ONE LEAGUE TO PLAY IN THE OTHER LEAGUE. THIS WOULD IMPROVE THE HOCKEY STANDARDS AND ALSO BONDS BETWEEN THE TWO COUNTRIES.`
