England missed out on the bronze medal at the women's Champions Challenge final at Virginia Beach after a 2-1 defeat against Japan.

But despite having much of the first-half possession, England failed to make the most of their opportunities.

Japan's Tomomi Komori equalised after 42 minutes with Kaori Chilba netting the winner three minutes from time.
