Ireland U18 coach Mick MacKinnon has spoken of his delight at the fact his charges are in the frame for a set of medals at the European championships in Poland.
The Irish youngsters face a double header over the weekend which will decide their fate.
They face Holland today and then meet Spain tomorrow in pursuit of the silverware.
While the boys' U18s have stolen the show in recent years, this is the first time the girls have been in the hunt for medals at crunch time.
That was on the back of two draws against leading nations England and Germany and a 7-0 win over their Polish hosts.
Eight Ulster girls are in the squad and MacKinnon, although born in England, has lived here for several years.
Unsurprisingly he's happy with his players' progress although he's making no predictions.
"The position we are in is a testament to the hard work and decication that the squad has shown over a long period," he enthused.
Today: Ireland v Holland (2pm BST); Tomorrow: Ireland v Spain (1pm).
