The New Zealand women's hockey team has beaten Spain 3-nil in their latest match at the Champions Challenge tournament in the United States on Tuesday.

All the New Zealand goals came from penalty corners with Lizzy Igasan getting both in the first half and captain Suzy Muirhead the other in the second spell.

The result means the Black Sticks remain unbeaten after drawing with Great Britain and beating the United States earlier in the tournament.

New Zealand's next match is against another unbeaten side, South Africa, on Thursday

The Champions Challenge tournament is for nations ranked seventh to 12th in the world, with the winner qualifying for the top tier Champions Trophy next year.
