England's women suffered a surprise 4-0 defeat to Japan on Saturday which leaves them with just one point from two matches at the Champions Challenge.

England were 2-0 down at half-time after a brace from Toshie Tsukui before second-half strikes from Mayumi Ono and Miyuki Nakagawa completed the rout.

The top two in the six-team event will contest the final in Virginia Beach.

England, who drew against New Zealand in their opening game, go on to face Spain, hosts USA and South Africa.
