THE Hockey Association of Zimbabwe have named an 18-member Under-21 women's team for the fifth Junior World Cup Championships scheduled for Chile in September.
National Under-21 team manager Virginia Ross yesterday released the side that will make their maiden appearance at the championships.
Zimbabwe are in Pool A which includes England, The Netherlands and the United States at the 16-team tournament.
South Africa, who are the only other African country at the championships, are in Group B together with Germany, India and Canada.
Coach Kumbirai Mundangepfupfu's girls won their ticket to the junior World Cup after finishing as runners-up to hosts South Africa at the 2004 African Cup of Nations finals.
Sarah Bennet, who was named the Best Goalminder of the tournament at the Africa Cup of Nations games, is also travelling with the squad. Ross also named the three non-travelling reserves who are Netsai Matengarobvi, Sanja Murray and Stephane Mazingi.
