What a total waste of time. How well will this load of old rubbish serve you when you go to the Europeans ....
Oh, and the GB argument about the separate home countries affording much more international experience to so many more players? I am sure Dunlop and Co found this so much more rewarding than playing at the Olympics.

I suppose that if we had played England, Germany and Holland and got stuffed in all three games you would have been writing here that we are not good enough. We played against teams who are roughly similar to us in terms of rankings and won the tournament. Why can't you celebrate that instead of moaning. People like you are what's wrong with sport in our country. How about some praise for a change. It's quite easy. Just say "Well done Scotland for WINNING a tournament"

Actually, last time you played England in a decent tournament you won ... so yes, you should be playing England, Germany and Holland because that's how you get better.
Winning a four-nation tournament against rubbish sides like Croatia means nothing because all you do is stay in your comfort zone.
It also means that Mike Leonard's 100 caps are pretty worthless because only a handful have come at a decent level - and that's a shame for a formidable player who could probably had a shout at a GB place if he had been consistently tested against better opposition.
If you want to crow about the value of getting international experience as three separate nations being preferable to combining as GB, then go out and get some: stop dollying around against European losers.
Oops ... maybe I'm not so cynical after all.

Dunlop and co would never have got to the olympics had they not had the international experience (with Scotland). do you think they just walked into the GB squad?

I must be great to talk so much rubbish without the slightest clue about the facts.
Scotland are prepering for the Europeans, this was never going to be a tournament GB would have been entered for.

Why is everyone slating the Stotts, if u were in their shoes and wanted to improve and go further in the game of hockey then wouldn't u want to move to a bigger club that is playing in europe this season.
Niall moved club so he could improve on his game by playing against more skilled and talented players than what we have in Britain. If i had the chance to play hockey against european opponents i would have made the same move myself as he did.
