High Scoring Danish League
Congratulations to Orient Lyngby on doing the Indoor / Outdoor double. I was amazed to see the high number of goals scored and conceded by all the teams. While Orient clearly dominated the league, their average score works out to about 7.5 to 3.
Even the bottom team that was clearly hammered, averaged almost two goals a game. Any comments on why so many goals?

Tradition for many goals
One explanation could be that danish hockeyteams in generel are more focused on scoring goals themselfes than prevent the other teams form scoring because there is a tradition for playing offensive hockey. Another explanation is that Orient Lyngby has some real good goalgetters like Casper Guldbrandsen scoring about 50 goals in 20 matches. But also some of the youngsters from the other clubs are good at scoring goals and used to score many goals from the indoor hockey.
The standard of the goalkeepers are also pretty high so that is not reason for the many goals in danish hockey. At the same moment I don't remeber a single game ended up 0-0 which indicates that the teams go out to win and score as many goals as possible!
If you look at the german bundesliga it is also very often to results like 5-4 or 4-3 which I think is good for the game of hockey and offcourse for the spectators!
