In their first game of their short tour Wales Women recorded a 0-0 draw against their French opponents.

In a fast and furious game, despite dominating the second half through Abi Welsford (Clifton), Sarah Ashworth (Poynton) and Delyth Sharples (Hightown), Wales found the back of the net on three occasions but regretfully none of the chances were to stand.

Wales now look forward to the second match in the test series on Saturday when they will hope to register a win against a French team that have not beaten Wales since 2002.
