England wrapped up a 2-0 series victory over Canada after Thursday night's third and final Test at Reading ended goalless.
The hosts dominated for long periods but, having spent the week in a training camp and playing these matches, they lacked sharpness.
However, coach Jason Lee was pleased with the progress his squad was making, especially some of the more inexperienced members - with three making their international debuts in the series.
"I think our performance tonight reflected an eighth day of a long training camp - and Canada set out to defend," he said.
"Individually, where we needed to be sharp around the circle, we weren't.
"But we have made some good progress especially as many of the guys were not used to it - Peter Riley (the Guildford defender) had not even played under-21 hockey and he now has three international caps within one week of being involved."
Next week the squad head to Berlin for two matches against Germany.
