come on guy let it be.
congratulations to all liverpool supporters all over the world. The team won the Champions against all odds. Ok, Milan where much better but i think they did some bad calculations.
AS for the hockey final, unforutantely i did not have the opportunity to watch it. WEll we must all agree that with the present energy of UV rays it is not the right time of the day to play.
Last but not least, a big thank you goes to Amy and Mario of the bar. Last saturday i stayed until eight o clock in the afternoon at Corradino. ( we had some bottles to clean)
accidentaly or not a fire caught ground behind the fence and after 3 hours the flame was about 3 metres high. Mario intervened and with the help of the fireman he exinguished the fire down. If such an intervention was not made the fire could have creaped up to the synthetic surface. In the coming days of high temperatures we have to be carefull of these kind of occurences.
Once again Dr. Crockford is calling for help for next Septembers national team challenge. Those wishing to give a help can contact crockford personally.
till then, see you next year if i am still playing.
ps. well done LIVerpool.

September European Hockey Challenge 2
First of all, if this message gets posted, then I am once again free to contribute to this forum.
Frank, I would like to clarify a point, for correctness' sake only, re the September European Hockey Challenge 2.
It is true that I have approached you and other active members of Qormi Hockey Club to assist, however, as such, I am not in any way assuming any leadership role in the organising committee for the tournament. This is a HAM event and the responsibility of setting up the organising committee is on HAM. As far as I am aware such a committee has not yet been formed but anybody interested to help from the various Clubs may contact David Agius or their respective Club Committees with their interest to assist.
Thanks and have a Nice Summer All.
Qormi Pres.
PS: keep the comments flowing guys....discussion, both criticising and praising, as long as constructive, is extremely healthy for all.

To add to comments made by Crocky, I suggest to all those that will not be forming part of the national Team, to help out with the organization of this tournament, it will definitely be a pleasant experience. Don't take it as just helping the association; take it as an event that you will want to be part of.
So anyone who's interested, contact David on info@hockeymalta.com and let him know in what area you will be able or would like to get involved.

Where are the high profile transfers of last year?
It seems that Frank Bugeja and Chris are moving out from Qormi.
Is it true that someone is paving their way back to the yellows?
Will they be successful? it seems that they are very close!

Hotsticks are after some junior players for loans. Ryan Gatt is surely one of them.
Jonathan Aquilina, Tyrone Mizzi and Jonathan William will return with Young Stars after Qormi were trying to get them.

Rumors
Rumors say the once loved President Frank Bugeja after getting married, has decided to offer his services to his old club. Young stars will only accept him at one condition - that he must be patient and stay on the bench. Now that Rudolf may be a step closer out of youngstars, Frankie might have some chance of playing. Unfortunately team coach... which is still uncertain who he is cause there seems to be so many... told the ex president to loose some weight if he really considered going back with the team, In response frankie said that preperation for marriage has decreased his physical activity but will shortly get back in shape. his personal trainer is right now working on the job to get frankie rolling once again and maybe give youngstars an opportunity to score some short corners next season... maybe

the whole truth and nothing but the truth .
ok ok guys! Do not get personal ! leave my tummy out. Yes i had to reduce my training or completely eliminate to the present work load. But i am performing at our things! You understand or you want it easier to understand!
Yes the Qormi committe have been informed that i will soon be out. young stars have not yet been informed. it is true that a very immininent comeback is on the cards.
Just give me some time so that the dust can settle. An agreement is in the pipeline soon. But you have to be ready fo surprises.
here is the shock news to all! next year i will be forming a senior nine a side. That means made of veterans. I will be surely in the starting lot over them.
As for various comments above, i do not mind staying on the bench. To tell you the truth i prefer coaching than playing. And to be honest, I am very good at it.
As for charles micallef being a baby. well it is better to be a baby with a name than without. Show your name coward!
Paul Brincat: comparing him to Rafael Benitez. Good one. Surely one cannot compare the players of qormi to rabat, young stars or hotstick do you. Last year he did a very good job. i can tell you , that as my friend James Mizzi once said on the net , that if qormi did not have the 4 former young stars players they would not even have enough players to make the eleven.
Well done Paul.
so everyone will now be asking what will my brother be doing. He is moving to soemwher else but nobody will know where for now! Not even to the clubbing he wants to go to.
Sorry guys cannot tell you further

Celtics is a team that should have lasted more than 1 year. unfortunately it was disbanded! Players like Waylin and others would have had the chance to develop. Celtics was not formed because of different kind of egos but was mainly formed to play its juniours in it. Yes it may have helped to get rid of some elements whitin YS, but the faction of Celtics that was the greatest loser in this saga was the younger players, when it was all supposed to be for the younger players. So all the "paroli" on giving a chance to younger players was all "paroli fil-vojt" because at the end of the day, the reasons were anything but the benefit of the younger players.

Celtic was a great project on behalf of young stars and it peaked ten years bringing up of juniors in the nursery. Unfortunately due to a serious of event this has to be dismantled and the ones to suffer are the ones who dont have a place with youngstars and these didnt only include the juniours.
Lets face without some senior players celtics might have been a failure and vice versa without the juniours is would also have been a failure. Unfortunately two teams always create competition between two teams, where the first team always wants the best players. This is a hot agenda and Youngstars have already passed through it in the past. It is sad to see players playing together for a lifetime, seperate because of indifferences caused by individual egoistics who have different agendas on the pitch and for the club.
Celtics was a step forward for mALTese hockey but did not last long. now we are seeing juniours being lent to other teams and sometimes not played. These juniours rightly enough might look some where else but in vain cause right evenly so, Youngstars want to keep them with the club. It is a very difficult situation which consists of human misunderstanding and different views.

First of all i wish to thank all of those people who attended the funeral service for Emma Housley. It was really nice to see a delegates from all of the different clubs present.
At least even though we do not agree much while playing we are really mature on things that matter.
I thoghrouly believe that for our game to flourish all clubs have to push forward their Junior sector.
As an appetizer of the Junior i would like to organize a small junior tournament. Now as i do not have your cell numbers i would like to inquire who might be interested. This will be a one day tournament with some extra activities incorporated.
Those who would like to participate kindly contact me as soon as possible.

Indoor
The game finished off 4 - 3 in favour of Qormi.
I will not comment about the umpires here. I will comment on the game.
Personally, Rabat played a very good game. When after a few minutes they went ahead it all seemed that would be going in their favour. Not because i give up, you all know i keep on playing till whatever the score.
Rabat played really well. Ball was played from side to side and I still believe that they were much better than Qormi.
Unfortunately for them the difference was in scoring. Iz- zghir was a real head ache up front and he transfromed the short corners quite nicely. This is where the game was won/lost.
When playing waterpolo, the scoreline depends on the man ups. In hockey, especially indoor, the short corner do have a big weight.
Credit also goes to the Qormi goalie. He performed two excellent saves, especially in one of the penalty strokes.
All the other green players were disciplined and stuck to their role. My compliments. Eventually, their team effort was rewarded. They won the tournament because they stuck together through all the games.

Players mario and sandro are still qormi players and they begin the preseason with the club of qormi.
qormi took also rudolph camilleri of young stars and ludwig of sliema (sen in the preseason training).
Youngstars has been kicked out of the club from Dione and now are without a club. They are going from bad to worse!!!!
sliema are running after ryan gatt of youngstars.
Youmgstars committee does not want to do any celtics team. It is only charles P. Micallef that wants to form it again. The others does not want.
A new english player will be with Qormi. He was already at Kordin seeing the final game between Rabat and Qormi. After he went to train with them at Qormi.
Youngstars are still running after Frank and Chris Bugeja to convince them to go back with them.
Qormi have won the indoor league for the 1st time and it was a very good game. Unfortunatly not so good umpiring decisions ruinied the game

You are such a funny person..... commenting on things you don't know or rather...... you think you know much about. One other thing.... you try to praise the Qormi team by defamation of Youngstars...... i ask...... is this the way you achieve glory cause in that case you're well ahead.
I believe Qormi are doing really good especially in the junior sector and i'm sure the senior team will be out for a challenge with all teams during the next season. Just stick to that man and don't over do it with shi**y comments.
Cheers man!!!

Iam really bored of these nonsence comments.
Certain things are just not said in public.
The Englishman is just here for a holiday!
YOU will never learn. But be carefull as things will happen all over again. Once a pig always a pig. Do not over do it. At the moment you think you are at the top of the world.
Next time you find someone of your own calibre. That is where you know how good you are.
As for the Juniors, one might say that Qormi are the doing well. Let us be objective. Only themselves and Hotsticks have some kind of set up. Let us not go overboard and think that they are something out of this world.
It is prime time that the others start to invest.
By the way. Stick an apple in your mouth everytime you think you are going to say something stupid.
Ivan do you not have more reasonable things to do. Do not waste your time with such cramp. You just fuel his appetite. Start using that mind of yours. Just shut up.
AS for Qormi. They will win a match or two and give everyone a good run. But not seriously challenging for any competition. They still lack material.

Various rumors
I have received a phone call about an hour ago from Andre Ghio who suggested that I ought to take a look at the comments on this site since some of them where probably submitted herein to jeopardize our friendship or to put my club or maybe Andre’ himself in a bad light in one way or another.
To be quite honest, I think I just wasted a good hour of my time to go through all the above comments when the majority of which are pure and absolute nonsense (as usual).
Just to clear up the water on a few issues, I thought I should post this comment and go through the various rumors one by one and maybe this will clear the whole picture once and for all and stop all this nonsense. The actual facts are as follows:
Charlie Micallef – Is not leaving Young Stars and has actually been re-appointed as Team Captain for the forthcoming season. If you ask him directly, he will assure you that not only will he be playing for Young Stars but also he is adamant on winning the league with Young Stars this season.
Jonathan Aquilina, John Williams and Tyron Mizzi have all requested a release from our Club to join Qormi HC but this release has been denied. Jonathan and John have agreed to form part of Young Stars in the forthcoming season and as most of you probably already know, they have also played with YS in the indoor league last Friday. Tyron has not yet contacted the Club with his intensions but I can assure you that he WILL NOT be wearing any colours other than YELLOW/BLACK for at least the next 3 years. The ball is in his court on this issue.
Frankie and Chris Bugeja have neither contacted YS to re-join our team nor have YS tried to contact any of them to play with us next year.
In last month’s AGM, the YS Committee was asked to endeavor the possibility to re-establish the Celtics YS Team. This is a task, which the Committee along with the help of member Charlie Micallef tried to achieve but at the end of the day, it was agreed that due to a) lack of committed players, b) lack of manpower to manage the team and c) lack of financial resources, it was impossible to re-establish Celtics YS.
All the ex YS players playing with Qormi HC in the forthcoming season have asked for a release and one has been granted by the committee. There aren’t any outstanding issues with ANY of these players and the relationship between ALL of them and YS is still a health one.
We have recently terminated our lease agreement with the Cassar family since after we have been granted the lease of our pitch in Floriana, we applied for a permit to build a new Club House on our Pitch and also construct a new 7-a-side hockey/football synthetic pitch. Such permit has recently been granted by MEPA and the construction works will commence in the very near future.
I hope the above has cleared up the rumors regarding my club but if any of you need any further explanations, please contact me on jlmizzi@maltanet.net and I will be more than glad to explain.

while saying hello from this side of the computer to my good friend ivan i was utterly disgusted by what this site has become. guess some guys dont have any thing to do then try to pick up fights - or virtual fights and lets face it guys - i mean the real guys. These people are known to every one and everyone knows them so while i agree to the guy above of fueling such a persons apetite... they are probably egoistic and selfish persons who wear the mask of a club to play their personal vendetta! If it was for our good friends ivan, loads of people would have made us quarrel on the pitch even when we play against each other. If it was not for the hundred beers and boozes we had together i guess we would be just like this nit wit trying to offend poeple and enjoy seeing other people get hurt while at the same time hiding behind Qormi mask!
