not the best display ever
the game was surprisingly very close, thought it would have been a lot more one-sided towards england after tindall stuck away the 2nd. Canada done well to bounce back and stick in there.
Too much route one play from england and long balls weren't necessary as our skills and ability in the middle were strong enough to pass it tyhrough them
matt daly scored a very good 1st flick and then Mahood made an error on the 2nd and it slipped under him. Very big crowd lots of cheering and good banter. one thing...

£3 for a programme
Yes, but entrance was free!
Do any of you people have even the remotest clue how hard volunteers at clubs work to bring you international hockey to watch? How amny hours went in at Reading, Cannock, Slough, Beeston!? Forget the EH employees - these clubs put thousands of pounds worth of volunteer time into our sport - and when the clubs try to recoup just a little bit, either through tickets, programmes, food or car parking all they ever get is slagged off.
Go and find somewhere else to watch international sport for £3! Grow up!

I can't believe you are complaining about the cost of the England Canada program...
You had free entry - all you paid for all night was a £3 program (which you didn't have to buy) and you got to watch a full international hockey match - not many sports would provide you with that kind of value!
On the subject of the program - there were actually 16 full colour pages of photo's, articles by current England players, interview with Jason Lee and information about retired / injured / unavailable players as well as the team sheets and adverts etc ... what more do you want???!!!!!!
Please let me know! Maybe we should be paying you to come and watch?!

I just like to meet you to find out exactly which planet you came from.
Many visitors who watched the game at Reading including myself and two youg boys had a very enjoyable time and would sincerely thank all the Reading members and volunteers without whome this event could not have happened.
THANKS AGAIN READING can I blame you as it took me 3 hours to get home !!

Forget the EH employees? How dare you! I work incredibly hard as well.
It's not all about the volunteers. Just remember that!
Also, my assistants work incredibly hard to keep our volunteer workforce satisfied. I make sure of that.

Hockey on Television
Are we still not getting any video coverage for GB/England/club Internationals and major competitions ???
I spoke to Philip Kimberley in person on why there was no TV coverage of the indoor finals this year, he informed us that England Hockey were quoted to pay £25,000 to have the Finals recorded, to which I suggested 'Well, if we could not afford that, why didn't we have someone within the hockey community recording the games and produce at least some highlights for release on the England Hockey web site?' to which Philip Kimberley reply with 'Oh yer, that might of been a good idea'
Some guy at the pay-in entrance of the SuperCup at Guilford indicated that the games were being cover by or shown on SKY, though I seem to have missed any indication of this through any media outlets.
If we are having problems with getting Hockey on TV, why can't we start getting some coverage through the web site, then England Hockey would have some form of stats showing the demand for such coverage and possible an instrument to help convince the TV producers that there is a market for hockey coverage.
