England's men lost to Canada for the first time at hockey after going down 2-1 at Bisham Abbey in the opening fixture of a four-Test series.
The tourists took a 20th-minute lead from Michael Lee's penalty corner but James Tindall quickly levelled matters.

But Canada hit the winner - their first in 13 attempts against England - eight minutes before half-time when Paul Wettlaufer converted a penalty corner.

The teams play a second unofficial game, also at Bisham, on Monday.

Guildford defender Peter Riley, Surbiton's Matt Lee and Cannock defender and setpiece specialist Simon Ramsden all made their first senior appearances.

Just for the record, Canada has beat Great Britain twice, at Vancouver, in 2003; 4-1 and 3-1.
