MCC: Argentina qualifies for next year's Champions Trophy

ALEXANDRIA, APRIL 10. Argentina qualified for the next year's Champions Trophy (2006) after a convincing 5-2 win over South Korea in the Champions Challenge hockey tournament which concluded on Sunday.
The veteran Argentine striker and penalty corner hitter, Jorge Lombi scored four of the five goals with the skipper, German Orozco, taking credit for the other. Jung Sung Lee scored both the goals for Korea.
In the pool match, the teams had shared points from a draw.
Belgium shocked England by a huge 6-5 verdict for the bronze, while South Africa beat Egypt 4-1 for the fifth place.
Korea topped the table at the end of the league phase with 13 points followed by Argentina (11), Belgium (8), England (7), South Africa (3) and Egypt (0).
The final placings:
1. Argentina, 2. South Korea, 3. Belgium, 4. England, 5. South Africa, 6. Egypt.
