India has qualified for the 5th under-21 women junior world cup hockey to be held at Santiago, Chile in September.
The qualifiers list was declared by the International Hockey Federation and conveyed to India, Indian Women's Hockey Federation said here today.
The first coaching camp for the September 14 to 25 event would be held in the national capital from next month with about 37 players.
"After 10 days the number of players will be pruned," an IWHF press release said.
The Federation also announced that the Uttar Pradesh, organisers of the All India Invitational women's hockey tournament for the past 18 years, have decided to increase the prize money.
The winners will now get a purse of Rs one lakh and the runners'up Rs 50,000, the IWHF said.
