Junior Women Off to Puerto Rico

The Canadian Junior Women's team head out today for the Women's Pan Am Cup in San Juan, Puerto Rico.

The Canadian's match schedule is as follows and results and match reports will be posted on the Feidl Hockey Canada web site.

Sue Jameson from Vancouver has been appointed as a Technical Officer and Wendy Stewart as an Umpire.

All the best to the team, staff and officials for a successful tournament. The Pan Am Championship is a Junior World Cup qualifier and Canada must finish in the top three to advance to Chile.

Women's Senior Indoor National Championship

The Women's Senior Indoor Nationals got underway in Toronto last night at Humber College. Six provinces, Alberta, British Columbia, Manitoba, Ontario, Quebec, and Saskatchewan are all competing for top honours. It is great to see Quebec back competing in a national championship and to have Saskatchewan attending a Senior event.

Unfortunately neither the men's Under 18 or Senior Indoor events received enough entries to warrant National Championship status. However BC men travelled to Ontario for inter-provincial matches against two Ontario teams. Hopefully in 2006 we will see a full roster of men's provincial infoor teams in each event.
