Pakistan defeated Japan with seven goals to nil in semi-final of Four National Junior Hockey Tournament (FNJHT) at National Hockey Stadium here on Saturday.
Pakistan tightened its hold in the first 70 minutes of the match, however Japan also played tremendously well.
The defence players of Pakistan especially showed good performance. Pakistan got five while Japan got six penalty corners during the match where the former succeeded in doing one goal.
The match started with great momentum and in its second minute Pakistan got its first penalty corner, but in indirect-try the game hit a Japanese Player's leg and thus Pakistan got another penalty.
On behalf of Pakistan Imran Warsi did first goal after 17 minutes in 3rd penalty corner.
After passing seven minutes of the first goal Yasir did 2nd goal through a wonderful field goal.
Khalid scored 3rd goal and thus after half time the Pakistan score was three to zero.
Tariq Aziz, Muhammad Arif, Muhammad Akhtar of Pakistan scored the rest of the goals and increased the score to seven. Pakistan reached to final match that will be played Sunday (today).
