Competitive games in the Trinidad and Tobago Hockey Federation 2005 season which was launched three weeks ago will definitely flick-off on Sunday at the Tacarigua Sports Complex.
However, up to press time Paradise Hockey Club had not received their fixtures.
Teams will compete in a single round Round Robin tournament instead of the customary two rounds for their respective League Championships divisional titles and the may be a knockout tournament according to the club's headcoach and Hockey Board officer Annette Knot.
She noted that the astro turf has been sufficiently repaired to host the championships but because the turf will be relayed in August they have been forced to shorten their tournaments schedule in order to complete in time for the relaying.
Paradise will again field five teams in the league. However, their senior women team that returned to the Championship division this year following their success in the Trinity division last year and the men championship team which was saved from relegation after winning a play-off with Trinity division team Chinese will both have to perform at their optium to ensure that they don't finish at the bottom of the table and return to the Trinity division in 2006.
