Chelmsford's women remain in the hunt for promotion to the top tier of European indoor hockey after two victories on the opening day of the Trophy competition in Wettingen, Switzerland.
Veteran Lynn Bollington scored a hat-trick in the 8-1 win over Portugal's GDS Cascais, while Lisa Wooding netted a treble in 7-0 success over Swedes Valhalla.
Those results put them top of pool B and, irrespective of the outcome of tomorrow's match against second-placed Club de Campo of Spain, guarantee them a spot in the weekend's classification matches.
