HAVANA, Cuba
Cuba lifted a 3-0 déficit to beat Barbados 4-3 in the opener of the sixth day of the 8th men's Junior Pan-American Championship, which is being held at the Antonio Maceo stadium in Santiago de Las Vegas, 25 kilometres South of La Havana.

This tournament will qualify the top three for the World Championship to take place from June 29 to July 10 in Rotterdam, Holland.

Barbados surprised the hosts and their followers because of their speed and accurate play. With an offensive scheme the visitors opened the score, in the fifth minute, through Randy Jules, increasing the lead - in the 11th minute - by Laurando Davis from a corner rebound.

Cuba tried to advance, but was overwhelmed throughout the field and they never found the way to harm their rivals.

Meanwhile, Barbados defended well taking control of the midfield to dominate the first 35 minutes.

It was expected a Cuban reaction after half-time, but Barbados netted again - five minutes from the re-start - through Jamar Small from a penalty corner.

It seemed that Barbados would win the match easily, but the home side reacted and pushed by their noisy and passionate fans surprised the visitors, pressing them towards their back row.

Then, in the 45th minute, Cuba scored through Alberto Díaz from a penalty corner.

Barbados, meanwhile, tried to take advantage of the counter-attack and then - in the 48th minute - missed an incredible chance to increase the lead when Neil Franklin's penalty stroke weak shot was saved by Cuban keeper Leodán Hernández.

And Barbados paid for this, as Cuba converted again - in the 50th minute - through Walberto Olivares - from a powerful dragged corner shot.

At that time, Cuba dominated the match throughout the field, cutting Barbados' circulation. Then, the equalizer arrived - in the 57th minute - when a Cuban player was knocked down inside the circle and Lázaro Aguilera netted the 3-3 from a penalty stroke.

ES TIEMPO DE REFLEXIONAR NUESTRO PASO EN ESTE DEPORTE Y TRATAR DE SER POSITIVOS, TRATAR DE CREER, TRATAR DE UNIFICAR Y DE MULTIPLICAR, SE QUE ALGUNOS NO ESTAN DE ACUERDO Y ES RESPETABLE, SE QUE OTROS CREEN QUE SON ATACADOS O HECHOS A UN LADO, AHORA ES CUANDO DEBEMOS TRATAR DE SER LINEALES Y TRABAJAR EN LO QUE NOS CORRESPONDA PARA PODER SEGUIR DE AQUI PARA ARRIBA.
DE ALGUNA MANERA LOS CAMBIOS SON PARA BIEN, SI ES TIEMPO DEL CAMBIO HAY QUE HACERLO PERO NO DESAPROVECHAR LO CAMINADO, SABEN QUE REGRESAR POR DONDE YA PASAMOS ES NO ENRIQUECERNOS ES PERDER TIEMPO.
SI AHORA DEN IDEAS CON SU EJEMPLO. TODOS LOS PAISES QUIEREN LOS MEJORES RESULTADOS, Y TRABAJAN PARA ELLO, PERO SOLO SE LE DA A TRES EN EL TORNEO QUE SEA. AHORA ES TIEMPO DE COMPROMETERNOS MAS, DE NO DORMIRNOS EN NUESTROS LAURELES PARA QUE ESTO SE VUELVA MAS SOLIDO. YS DEJEMOS DE HABLAR DE ESCRIBIR ES TIEMPO DE QUE NOS PONGAMOS A TRABAJAR. USTEDES OBSERVEN LOS RESULTADOS DEL DF, EN EL REGIONAL, ESTO ES SOLAMENTE REFLEJO DE LO QUE PASA EN ESA ASOCIACION.
CUANDO LOS DIRECTORES DE CADA ASOCIACION, NO VEN PARA LA MEJORA Y ENGRANDECIMIENTO DE LO QUE FUE SU MISION, CREO QUE LE ESTAN FALLANDO A QUIEN LOS APOYO Y RESPALDO.
LA FMH QUIENES LA COMPONEN, UN SEÑOR QUE SIEMPRE QUIERE SER PROTAGONISTA, PARA MAL, CASTIGANDO A LOS JUGADORES QUE NO SE CIÑEN A SU VOLUNTAD, SIN NINGUN PAPEL, SOLO PORQUE EL ASI LO DICE, Y LOS DEMAS DIRECTORES SOPORTAN ESOS CASTIGOS PARA NO QUEDAR MAL CON EL.LA DEMAS GENTE QUIENES SON, DIRECTORES DE ASOCIACION HABILITADOS , QUE NO HACEN CRECER SU ASOCIACION. UNAM CUANTAS ESCUELAS, CUANTO MATERIAL HUMANO, Y NO SE TRABAJA ADECUADAMENTE, ESPERO QUE LO HAGAN Y VERAN QUE EN POCO TIEMPO TENDRAN GRANDES SATISFACCIONES. DE LOS AMIGOS DEL DIRECTOR DE FMH, UNO MANEJA EL DINERO, A COMO SE LE INDICA, OTRO UNA ARBITRO QUE POR CIERTO ESTABA CON IMSS QUE YA DESAPARECIO, QUE LO UNICO QUE HACE ES FUMAR, FUMAR Y FUMAR, ADEMAS DE ACATAR LAS INDICACIONES DE FMH, Y BUENO A LOS DEMAS NO SE QUIENES SON PERO CREO QUE POR EL ESTILO.
QUE NO ES TIEMPO QUE TODOS LOS DIRECTORES SE DEN CUENTA DE LO QUE ES CONVENIENTE Y SE HAGA UN PLAN Y QUE SE SIGA, NO QUE SE QUEDE COMO PLAN, NO TENGO LA CERTEZA, ME LO COMENTARON DE QUE FMH, SE GANA LOS BOTOS, NO DIRECTAMENTE SI NO CON VIAJES, BASTONES, BUENO MATERIAL, Y CLARO SE ADQUIERE EL COMPROMISO. CREO QUE ES OBLIGACION DEL DIRECTOR VELAR POR TODOS LOS JUGADORES DE HOCKEY Y LE DAN MUCHO PRESUPUESTO, PERO EL LO UTILIZA PARA LO QUE MAS LE CONVIENE, QUE LASTIMA QUE AHORA QUE DICEN QUE SE VENDRAN ELECCIONES ESTE FULANO YA TENGA, COMPRADOS DE ESTA MANERA LOS VOTOS Y QUE LOS QUE LO ELIGEN NO VEAN MAS AYA DE SU NARIZ, EL ES EL QUE NO DEJA QUE PROGRESE NUESTRO DEPORTE. EL SE LA PASA VIAJANDO POR ESTE DEPORTE, QUE TRANSMITE NI SIQUIERA UNA REVISTA INFORMATIVA ES SU OBLIGACION, PERO BUENO ESTO ES TOLERADO POR COM Y CONADE.
REFLEXIONEMOS Y QUITEMOS A LOS QUE SE TENGAN QUE IR, Y TRATEMOS DE SEGUIR PA DELANTE.
