Two Poznan teams - Pocztowiec and Grunwald are at an unquestionable lead after the first round of Polish League matches has been finished. Aware that the goal difference can be vital, both teams crash their rivals with no mercy.
On Saturday Grunwald put 11 goals past Lech. Six of them were scored by a goalie-haunter Marcin Strykowski, who didn't manage anyway to beat his own record of seven, set in a game against Lipno Steszew, a week ago.
On Sunday Pocztowiec was close to repeat the story winning over the only synthetic pinch owner from outside Poznan - Start Gniezno 9:1. Three (out of 6) pen corner goals were shot by Rafal Grotowski, one of the best scorers in Poland and a firm national squad player.
In other matches 2000 vice-champions Polonia Sroda Wielkopolska slightly defeated Rogowo and Gasawa and remain on a firm third place, 10 points ahead of the fourth Pomorzanin Torun.

The last team will be replaced by the winner of the 2nd league competition, and 9th place will play a play-off against the 2nd league vice-champion. There will be no play-off this season due to the national squad's trip to Scottland where it will take part in the World Cup qualifier.
