Paradise Hockey Club will resume full training from Saturday because of information received from the Trinidad and Tobago Hockey Federation that the 2005 season will definitely be hosted after Carnival, though no date has been announced as yet.

The season was in limbo because of refurbishment work being carried out on the astro turf at the Tacarigua Hockey Centre but the Federation officials have now been given the green light to host their league.

Paradise training will therefore be in two parts for this season, because they must maintain separate training sessions for their youth players who are on trial for the National boys and girls under 21 teams, head coach Annette Knot reported.

She said that on Saturday the players who are on trial will train on the Mt Pleasant hard court in the morning while in the evening the whole club will practice on the grassfield, because though it is far different to the astro turf on which all their away games will be played on, at least they will be more at home on the grass field on which their home games will be played.

The club will be training on Saturdays, Mondays and Wednesdays and head coach Knot has issued a special appeal to all players to make an extra effort to attend all sessions.

Hi Anette,
Great Job keeping Hockey together in Tobago, some of my best hockey was
played at Shaw Park on Grass, back in the late 80's. I now live in New York. &
played with Malvern back then (against you).
I know you'll are pushing to get a Turf Field in Tobago, Good Luck.
Hope you have a Great Season.
