Abahani Limited became runners-up in the Green Delta Insurance Premier Division Hockey League when the Dhanmondi based outfit crushed Ajax SC in their 'Super Five' encounter at the Moulana Bhasani National Hockey Stadium on Thursday.

Abahani Limited collected 29 points from 12 matches while champions Usha KC secured 33 points from as many matches.

Abahani dominated over their weaker opponents by 6-0 goals' lead in the first half.

Abahani's Indian recruit Prakash Chalke opened the flood-gate by a field goal in the 8th minute of the first half.

Mussa Miah doubled the margin by a field goal in the 17th minute of the play.

Hedayet, the skipper of Abahani Limited made it 3-0 using a penalty corner in the 20th minute of the game. Prakash Chalke scored his second goal in the 23rd minute of the clash.

After two minutes Prakash struck again on the board.

Jimmi increased the tally into 6-0 in the 33rd minute of the game.

After the lemon-break Prakash completed the tally in the 44th minute of the match.
Today (Friday) Mohammedan Sporting Club will take on Dhaka Mariners Youngs Club at 2.45 PM at the stadium.
