On Saturday 2nd October at 7.00pm, the hockey season 2003/04 should (!) finally come to an end whenthe KO Final between Rabat Depiro and Floriana Young Stars is replayed.

The original game had seen Champions Rabat convincingly win the game despite the slender 2-1 margin. This victory meant that they had taken their first 'double'. Or so they thought. In the semi-final against Sliema Hs, Rabat's Josef Antonelli had picked up his third yellow card and thus should have been automatically suspended. An unfortunate administrative mix-up meant that the official notification of suspention did not reach the clubs before the Final and Antonelli played the game. WhenYoung Stars became aware of the situation, they lodged an official protest which was upheld by the HAM Executive. A subsequent appeal by Rabat with the HAM Council was rejected and now the final will be played on Saturday with a possible replay set for Tuesday 5th October at 8.00pm.
