At the completion of the Australian Women's Under 21 Championship in Sydney on Saturday, selectors named an 18-woman team to contest a Test series against China Under 21 in Adelaide in August.
The series will be first step in preparing the team for the Junior Women's World Cup Qualfiers against New Zealand later this year.
After winning a second consecutive title with a 2-0 win in the final, Queensland earned eight representatives in the team, while fellow finalists, Western Australia, grabbed four places.
The team will be involved in training and four games against the Chinese Women’s Junior Team in Adelaide from 15–22 August. Matches, subject to confirmation, are scheduled for 18, 19, 21, 22 August at the Pines Stadium.
