Impala...2 Armed Forces 2

Armed Forces came from behind twice to hold hosts, Impala to a 2-2 draw in the Kenya Hockey Union (KHU) women's league match at Impala Sports Club yesterday.

Stella Musyoki put Impala ahead when she converted a field goal in the 17th minute but Forces cancelled the lead seven minutes later when Belinda Achieng connected home Alice Jepchirchir's left flank cross.

Musyoki was on the mark again in the 28th minute to restore Impala's lead. Forces levelled terms on the stroke of half time when Agnes Jepkemboi scored following a one-two combination with Mbula Ileli inside the area.

After an explosive first half, the next 35 minutes were more of a display match as both teams made no purposeful moves upfront.

Sliders...2 Telkom...0

Sliders shocked national champions, Telkom Kenya 2-0 in another league match at the Barclays Bank Sports ground, Ruaraka yesterday.

Two men's league matches involving Thika Rovers and two Mombasa teams failed to take place in Nairobi.

Thika, who are making their debut in the national league earned their first points of the league without kicking a ball after Mombasa Sports Club (MSC) failed to turn up at Aryan Sports ground on Saturday.

It was Thika's turn to be punished yesterday when they failed to honour their fixture against Mombasa Institute yesterday at the same venue.

Kenya Hockey
Awesome to see hockey alive and well in Kenya. Have they got a new turf yet? Some hockey getaways to that beautiful land would be awesome!

Hows the national team doing?

Thanks for asking. But kenyan hockey is doing Terribly well as in TERRIBLE. The league is more of a shambles, the National team is yet to go for any international outing this year, the New turf is soooo new- it is actually YET to be installed. Never mind the old one was stripped off ages ago!!
But hey! This is kenya!! Drop by, the holidays are awesome!
