HKFC upset shaheen in the SCPL playoff semi-finals only last saturday.
will certainly be a good game sunday, though I would bet on shaheen if they have a full fit team.
i do think shaheen would be a better representation of hong kong, as they are in my opinion the strongest SCPL team in hong kong, when fully fit. granted there is certainly plenty of talent in the HKFC team (ayres, munt, churchill, gurvinder dillon) , shaheen as a whole team stronger embodies the essences of the hong kong hockey community.
congratulations are in order however to the football club for their largely successful season, and a great showing last week in the playoffs. good luck in singapore lads.

i meant in the sense that as a whole, the shaheen team members have been involved in the hong kong hockey scene for a much longer period of time, many of their players playing hockey here as schoolboys.
sure the football club has a long and very colourful history in hong kong hockey, the team players on average are relatively new to hong kong hockey, at least compared with their shaheen counterparts.

they are forth in play off for very simple reason. The didn't have senarchi for the last game. Although he is suspended but if you include him i will guarentee that shaheen would win.
They lost to KCC because kcc played well and also have you realised 3 of there key players didn't play. Arif didn't play becuase he was scared of suspension, alfonso left the game before half time to sit in hte stand and enjoy, vincent didn't play to allow simon to gain experience. Shaheen will win for sure tmr even im not a shaheen fan.

thanks for your comment, but i would like to correct something, Arif is currently in Pakistan and i think you meant Asif Ali.
we lost to kcc because we just were not united like a team should be, and kcc had a better game than we did, they took their chance and score but we didn't. Either side will be the winner in the end and that day kcc was the winner.
i would like to say the holland cup final will be a tough game for us, and no one knows who wins until the final whistle goes, who wins depends on who's performance is better and who take the chances given to them. i am disappointed with Brad's absence from this game, he'll definitely have a good game if he was there.

shaheen is da best team in hk...there is no doubt in tht...but at least they should show sm sportsman ship. when they won holland cup yesterday...they were screamin their as*es off...but when they lost 3-2 to kcc...they didnt even went to get da medals...i thought they all left but when i saw ishtiaq khan and some of saheen players standin outside, i really felt tht they su*k. is there any kind of sportsmanship...so wat if they lost to kcc 3-2...is tht a big deal...they even lost to kcc da 2nd leg with a score 4-2....i think tht was just a lesson for them lossin from kcc 3-2...if they hv won tht match...they would be flattered...tht no1 can beat them. but kcc showed...n wat ppl r talkin abt tht shaheen didnt hv a full team...YEA RYT...senachi was playin...amo was there...akai was there....swalik was there..bilal was there...alfonso played first half....who else they need....asif...is he really tht gr8...i think sm1 just mentioned tht only 1 played cant change da whole game of 70 mins...so...n wat abt ppl sayin abt vincent...is he da best....dont know abt tht...but simon is like hk teams gk....he cant be tht bad as he hv played da whole season for shaheen. so PPL.....THTS DA FACT...SHAHEEN LOST TO KCC TWICE..3-2 AND 4-2...AND SHAHEEN IS ON 4TH IN DA LEAGUE...WHERE IS SHAHEEN....4THHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH IN DA LEAGUE....

Shaheen is 4th in the league, that's right. Shaheen lost to KCC that's right. Win is a win , Lost is a lost . They lost to KCC 3-2 .... they don't care, they also put about five B team player on that game too . They don't mind about lost . And why they did not go n get the medals , is because no one know's there will be medals for the 4th. That's why most of them have left ! And even the Guangdong players said , they want to play Shaheen in the Final but not HKFC . IF play Shaheen in the final ..... will be one of the best game in the league. Shaheen have won 3 Trophies this year already. How about HKFC or KCC or Others ??? They win 7-2 in the Holland Cup final .... Anything to say ? Mr DeSi ??

Pakistan: Wapda ( won majority of the tournaments followed by Habib Bank followed by PIA followed by Customs)
India: Punjab Police (Last year they won majority of the tournaments followed by Indian Airlines followed by Indian Oil followed by Punjab and Sind Bank.)
This is all from newspapers. Anybody following the leagues may add their own comments

yes, we lost, is that a big deal? yes we didn't get the medals, is that a big deal? When Kcc won us and got the 3rd place in the league, how did they shout? Should have looked at Gurdev's face!
Anyway we lost, and i felt sad about our lost against them, because we didn't play our best and they did, so they deserve to win that match more than us, see even Real Madrid with all the superstars can lose playing against a team in the bottom of the table, why can't shaheen lose against Kcc who is the 4th when they came into play-offs?
We had a great holland cup final, we played well but club didn't and we won, fair?
so please stop making stupid comments with all junks in it!

Well,ofcourse shaheen is one of the top team in hong kong with most of the players are national team and few ex-international(not talking about those five 5th division players on the bench which say furthur for shaheen,hahaha what a joke).For shaheen winning trophies is nothing surprise as they had the player to win.But just watch out for coming next few season,as team this year like hkfc,valley and kcc had beaten shaheen so i dont think shaheen will dominate the league anymore as they dont have other player coming up beside mustafa.The shaheen B team is a joke so forget about it.If the Guangdong team want to play shaheen then beat kcc first and if u cant even do that,im sorry.I think next year valley will surprise everyone.

4 Points
1. The top 3 teams of the SCMPL where the better sides throughout the season. No excuses, full team or not is insignificant if we decide to play as a team. We accept the result as a team.
2. I was one of those who had left before colleting the 4th place medal. I was not informed and I would admit that Shaheen's administration & communication need more improvement. We've been a strong side for a long time & that is not a good example. Did not mean to upset anyone.
3. We would welcome to play anyone who respect the game. Best 11 or not does not make a different. We were never arogant, nor concieded but we do appreciate a fair competition.
4. Personally, I've decided to quit hockey. I've had the best and I do not know if anything better would happen ifI continue. It's time for me to consider my priorities and future plan as all friends know I'm a father of 2 (maybe more in future) & I had more commitments then ever.
I doubted if thge person who posted message as "shaheen player"is really one of us} because I cannot imagine anyone of us would do something like that.
Lastly, I wish all hockey lovers & players in HK well and keep improving the Hockey of HK.

Although the departure of Kelson and Zaki is extremely disspointing to kcc as there are set to be losing 2 of there best players, new players will be implemented into the club.
England import, Kieran and Ian will fill in skipper Arif Ali's boots and will be in charge in firing up the engine room of the midfiled creating chances for the forwards, they have claimed they are ready to give up there education for hong kong hockey hoping to raise the standard of the game. Another unconfirmed news, Lenny modder, brother of Ian, will be in charge of KCC B team next season and with his speed of lightning he is hoping to improve his skills and shooting.
KCC captain, Arif Ali has claimed it is a pity to lose there best two players to arch rivals for a free transfer

i think that kieran and lenny are very sick and can get through the defence of other asian teams . though it will be hard for them to play against india.
ian is really bad though . he cannot play hockey to save his life .
he loves guys in rugby kit . the modder brothers make a good pair for midfield . they both no how to get through defence and pass on the ball to the attackers . by the way get some indians on the team . they r sick !!

Indian coach has named midfielder Gurvinder Dillon on Monday to replace the unfit forward Dhanraj Pillay for the coming Athens Olympics.
Every player is supporting me and I am supporting them," Guv said .
It's a dream for me to play in the Olympics and God has given me a chance to play in my first Olympics.
Gurvinder was sidelined by the Indian Hockey Federation for three four-nation tournaments after he pulled out of the team for the Olympics qualifiers in March due to the SCPL he played in Hongkong.
We are confident of doing well in the Olympics. But at the same time we also need a lot of support from the people. I request all to pray for the Indian hockey team." said Gurvinder.

Gurvinder Dillion Pratab Preet Andre Sandre Pandre Kelson Dai Bor Hum Lun Jui Singh, says everyday he trains with kelson to beat the offside trap, he trains kelson by swinging in his balls from behind while kelson tries to header. Kelson has perfected his diving away from the balls by doing this espeically when the shots are coming hard and fast. As soon as training end guv lights his olympic torch for one days of hard training.

Followed by running laps around the pitch and doing the 1 hr run. 10 laps in 1 hr. They made easy work of this and complete it in 56mins, kelson did not finish.
