Black Sticks recover from 2-nil down at halftime to beat Ukraine 3-2 in Olympic hockey qualifier in Auckland
The Black Sticks have staged a major comeback to beat the Ukraine in their latest Olympic hockey qualifying match in Auckland.
The kiwi side was trailing 2-nil at half time, but came back to win 3-2.
New Zealand scored through Lisa Walton while Niniwa Roberts-Lang found the back of the net twice.
The win puts the Black Sticks up to seven points, and in the lead in pool A, but Germany still has a game in hand.
The Black Sticks' next game is against Germany on Wednesday.
If the kiwis beat or draw with Germany they will definitely qualify for the Athens Olympics.
