Two Grodno teams (Byelorussia), who came to Vilnius, unexpectedly played in the final of the LHF Cup Tournament. These teams were „Ritm“ and „Neman“. The crucial match after a very tough fight ended with the victory of „Ritm“ the result being 6:4.

LHF Cup Tournament was the first important test for Lithuanian national team preparing for European indoor championship. On Saturday our national team failed to gain a victory over the winner of the Tournament – the Byelorussian team (3:4), so on Sunday played against Vilnius HFTC only for the third place. Again, the fight was very tough and Lithuanian national team won 6:4. The victory slipped from the hands of young Sirvintos „Inta“ players in the game for the 5th place. They ended the game against „Gintra-Universitetas“ Siauliai (many players from this team played in the national team) in a draw 4:4, but lost 1:2 in penalty kick. The seventh place went to Siauliai „Klevas“ who won against Kelme „Berkutas“ with the result 2:0.
