GREGORY Sills and Ivor Thompson were the only persons returned to the executive when the Guyana Hockey Board of Control (GHBC) held its annual general meeting and elections recently.
Sills serves as secretary and Thompson as treasurer on the board which is now headed by president Phillip Fernandes, who replaced Troy Peters.
The other members of the executive are vice-presidents Rawle Davson and Jerry Bell; assistant secretary/treasurer Debra Archer and tour organiser Brian Asregado.
Meanwhile, the board's second division competition, sponsored by John Fernandes Insurance, is scheduled to begin on Friday. In the only game scheduled for the opening day, Police will take on GCC at Eve Leary from 16:45 hrs.
Also competing in the tournament are Everest, Dragons and Old Fort.
The GHBC has also scheduled a women'sseven-a-side indoor tournament for the National Gymnasium, beginning March 9. The teams expected to participate are Old Fort, Western Dragons, Everest, Police, GCC and the Seniors. The final is set for March 18 at the same venue.
