Female athletes competing in wheelchair racing, rowing, and rock climbing are represented in the Sports Illustrated for Women's list of the Century's Best Sportswomen. Yet the list of 100 women contains not one field hockey player. The closest "hockey" to make the list is ice hockey, which has two representives -- Manon Rheaume, the first woman to play in a professional hockey game, and Cammi Granato, the alltime leading scorer in U.S. national team history.
